Papers, the movie, returns, by popular demand

The Immigration Information Response Team (IIRT) is co-sponsoring with members of PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbian and Gay folks) a second showing of Papers, the movie. This re-run is by request of the first local audience for Papers, in May. They asked that it be made available to, those who missed it earlier, so that more of us understand the plight of these young people born outside the U.S. but raised in this country. Currently, there is no path to citizenship for them.

Imagine if you did not have the right to live in the country where you grew up. Imagine that you couldn’t work or drive. Imagine you couldn’t apply for a state ID or get on an airplane. Imagine you could be deported to a country you don’t remember. Papers is the story, in their own words, of these youth and the challenges they face as they turn 18 without legal status.
