The movie 'Sicko' will be shown at the PAC Saturday, August 25, and Sunday, August 26. Time is approximate.

DFA is suggesting that we organize an event around the movie showing. Anyone interested in such a thing?

Hey folks,

Set up Your
SiCKOMovie Night
An infant dying in her mother's arms because her family can't afford medical care. Seniors being mistreated and turned away by hospital staff. September 11 rescue workers never getting the care they deserve. These are just a few ways in which Michael Moore's newest documentary SiCKOlays bare the current state of health care in America.

Moore calls it "a comedy about 45 million people with no health care in the richest country on Earth."

Opening nationwide on June 29, this is one movie that may unify Americans across party lines and finally get Congress to take action. That's where you come in.

At SiCKOscreenings everywhere DFA members will be out in force. We'll hand out talking point flyers exposing where the Republican candidates for President stand on health care. If we're going to reform America's system, then our next President will lead the way and it's up to us to make sure everyone knows where the Republican candidates stand.

The movie takes on the uncaring nature of pharmaceutical giants that think only about the bottom line and demonstrates how other countries provide universal coverage. At the Cannes Film Festival, the movie got a twenty minute standing ovation. The Bush administration is already attacking it and you can bet the entire health care industry is loading up the big guns to try and sway the facts and stop any real reform.

We'll see the movie, have fun, then take action. It's what we do best and it depends on you.

Please set up your Movie Night right now:

So grab the popcorn in one hand, flyers in the other and let's go to the movies!
