Its time to get a more realistic national anthem.

I'm coming to the conclusion that our venerable blood & thunder national anthem is obsolete.  It just doesn't depict anything remotely like reality anymore.  Its just a hollow and sentimental invocation of the faded glory of what was once meant to be.

We were talking about the recent primary elections and this & that tonight. In the course of the converstation it came up that the audio recordings of Rovics' concert and the following discussion by and with Swanson about his latest book, "Daybreak: Undoing the Imperial Presidency and Forming a More Perfect Union", had never been posted.
